Frenuloplasty
This condition splits and tears the band of skin on the underside of the glans, which can lead to discomfort during intercourse.
Haematospermia (blood in the semen)
Haematospermia is the presence of blood in the semen; this does not cause any problems for the individual or their partner.
Haematuria
Haematuria refers to blood presence in the urine. There are two types of Haematuria; Macroscopic Haematuria – when it may be visible to the patient. Microscopic Haematuria – when it may not be visible to the patient.
Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms
Due to prostate enlargement (BPE) or due to an overactive bladder, or a combination of both, men can develop problems with voiding urine.
Male Hypogonadism
Male Hypogonadism is also know as “testosterone deficiency”, it is when the testicles fail to produce sperm, testosterone or both.
Penile Cancer
Penile cancer occurs on the skin or within the penis; it is most common with men over the age of 50.
Penile prostheses
Penile prosthesis surgery is most suited to patients who have severe organic ED refractory to pharmacological treatment.
Peyronie’s Disease
Peyronie’s Disease is associated with the development of a fibrous plaque in the penis. Peyronie’s Disease is often associated with erectile dysfunction.
Priapism
Priapism is the term associated with a prolonged penile erection, which is maintained despite the absence of sexual stimulation.
Prostatitis
Infection or inflammation of the prostate can lead to the development of Prostatitis.
Sarcoma Service
Paratesticular sarcomas require advanced imaging and surgical excision, due to being very rare malignancies.
Sperm Retrieval Surgery for Male Infertility
Sperm retrieval is often needed as the transport of the sperm can become blocked and cause an obstruction. The blockage can be anywhere from the prostate to the testicle. Provided there are some sperm left in the semen, men can undergo IVF treatment to help with infertility.
Surgery for Ejaculatory Duct Obstruction
Some patients often have history of ejaculatory pain or scrotal pain; until an investigation is carried out, patients are often unaware of underlying Ejaculatory Duct Obstruction. This is when they have a low volume ejaculate with no sperm.
Testicular Lumps
It is important for men to self-examine their testicles regularly to monitor any change in texture or lumps. If a lump develops, it will need to be assessed urgently in order to rule out any possibility of it being a testicular tumor.
Testicular Pain
Men will often experience some sort of testicular pain at some point in their lifetime. An assessment can be carried out to identify the cause, often an ultrasound scan of the scrotum will be carried out alongside urine samples.
Varicocele
Varicocele is similar to having varicose veins within your legs. It is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum.
Vasectomy
A vasectomy is used as a permanent form of contraception.
Vasectomy Reversal
A vasectomy reversal is needed when someone has undergone a vasectomy previously, whom now wish to father a child naturally.
