London Radiology is a partnership founded by Dr David Burling (Consultant Radiologist at St. Mark’s Hospital) and Dr Gina Brown (Consultant Radiologist at the Royal Marsden Hospital), both eminent Radiologists with outstanding clinical and academic experience.
Our vision is to combine our specialist experience to deliver a step change in the quality of diagnosis, assessment and surveillance of patients with gastrointestinal and pelvic floor disorders. We have fostered strong professional relationships with leading Surgeons, Physicians and General Practitioners to ensure our patients receive the best care available in the UK.

At London Radiology, patients will access the full range of state of the art scanning equipment and be cared for by a skilled team of radiographers who undertake high quality imaging supervised by Dr Brown and Dr Burling.
We have particular expertise in early diagnosis and imaging assessment of the following conditions:
- Bowel cancer and its precursor, the colonic polyp
- Other abdominal and pelvic malignancy such as cancer of the oesophagus, stomach and small bowel
- Inflammatory bowel disease including Crohn’s disease
- Pelvic floor disorders including assessment of faecal incontinence and constipation
- Fistula, anal pain and other anal disorders
- Anaemia and gastrointestinal bleeding
The service is supported by our highly experienced administration team who co-ordinate scan bookings, appointments and patient reports. London Radiology scans and reports can be viewed by the referring doctor, at any time, through a secure and user-friendly website.
We also provide a second opinion for patients or their referrers, wherever they are in the world, which we can arrange by electronic transfer.

Dr David Burling is a Consultant Gastrointestinal Radiologist working at St. Mark’s Hospital in London, a specialist hospital for gastrointestinal disorders. He is an expert in bowel cancer and inflammatory bowel disease imaging and Program Director for the St. Mark’s Virtual Colonoscopy (VC, CT Colonography) service which is internationally renowned for excellence in clinical practice and research. Dr Burling has authored over 70 publications and has a distinction MD thesis in VC. He is also one of the Europe’s leading trainers in bowel imaging techniques. Dr Burling currently works closely with a number of eminent colorectal surgeons, gastroenterologists and general practitioners in London to provide a high quality, patient focussed service.
Dr Gina Brown is a Consultant in Cancer Imaging specialising in gastrointestinal disorders at The Royal Marsden, UK. She holds honorary positions with Imperial College London and the Institute of Cancer Research. Dr Brown is committed, through her research, to developing and teaching improvements in bowel cancer and other gastrointestinal malignancies. Dr Brown has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers in gastrointestinal cancer imaging and provided educational material for many national and international courses for surgeons, radiologists and oncologists. She has authored chapters in major educational text books and edited and co-authored “Contemporary Issues in Cancer Imaging: Colorectal Cancer”. Dr Brown’s research has led to global advances in high-quality imaging in bowel cancer resulting in major improvements in patient outcomes.
