Dr Theodore Ngatchu is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with over 20 years experience. He trained at the prestigious and oldest medical school in the world, The University of Padua in Italy, where he gained his primary medical qualification and postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy. After moving to the UK he obtained the MRCP UK and CCST in General Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
After moving to the UK he obtained the MRCP UK. He trained in prestigious institutions in London including The Royal Free Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital and Charing Cross & Hammersmith Hospital and obtained a CCST in Gastroenterology and in General Internal Medicine
Dr Theodore Ngatchu is an accomplished Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Endoscopist. He has published extensively in high quality, international peer-reviewed medical journals. He was one of the first to publish on Hepatitis C in children in Africa and continues to have great interest in the treatment of this and other conditions affecting the liver (Hepatitis B, alcoholic liver disease, non alcoholic fatty liver disease etc), the digestive tract (anaemia, rectal bleeding, diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease etc).
Dr Ngatchu is also a pioneer and a world-class expert in the use of gastric balloon for weight loss. He has the largest experience of the ReShape balloon and presented a live demonstration to the Obesity Week in Los Angeles in 2015.
